Day 753: I only meant to work the sole of the foot, but I got absorbed in adding some details elsewhere. I think this one will be finished up on Friday/Saturday. It feels like the real challenge was colors and shadows, and now I'm enjoying myself a lot more with the rendering🙂
Day 752: It doesn't look like much progress at all, but I think the color balance here is better than yesterday's version. The old version felt kind of disorganized, here I think the values keep the focus on Flare and not the background.
...now how do i render white socks?
Day 751: I used my brain for some lighting stuff but i think i didn't use it enough for the colors...
idk how i feel about them. maybe after i sleep on it i'll figure something out.
Day 750: Did a bunch of tweaking to Flare, the old pose just wasn't doing it for me. This feels more natural and in-line with the pose reference. Now it's brain power time though, figuring out how all the lighting and rendering should be split up 😵💫
Day 749:
Picked a different post for Flare, got through the lines/flats for the most part. A few parts still feel weird, but I'll work things out somehow eventually.
And worry not, there will be a barefoot version of this~
