Goku’s first real challenge this arc is Sergeant Metallic (aka Metallitron, aka Full Metal Jacket), who’s so tough that Goku says he should’ve entered the tournament. He even manages to survive a Kamehameha, although not unscathed…

for me it's gotta be Ayami Kojima, Akira Toriyama, Akihiko Yoshida and Satoshi Kon

I guess growing up with videogames and anime as most of the stuff that informed me as an artist is obvious lol

One offshoot of this is that an awful lot of the RR arc is Goku mowing down mooks. The readers already know what Goku is capable of, so the fun is in watching the oblivious RR soldiers realize just how badly they’ve underestimated him.
