The art, setting, characters, and plot are all really fun here. Arthur's one of the most consistently entertaining characters I've seen and the story developments near the end are awesome. Unfortunately, Tamaki and everything relating to her suck. If you ignore her, great shonen.

I never thought about it until now but if you put FF Vol 1 and SE vol 1 next to each other, it looks as if Shinra and Soul are looking at each other with their red eyes and signature sharp teeth smile lol just thought that was pretty cool
Between Fire Force & Soul Eater which manga series would you say is superior?

Atsushi Ohkubo was more influential on drawing certain effects, the fire effects and soul squiggles influenced how I draw everything from fire to diaper stink lines. Also got a thing for drawing human-dino girls with cartoonish sharp teeth from his fanged characters.
