Yu-gi-oh was, in many ways, ahead of its time when it comes making a protagonist 3-dimensional. With the "light and dark" side and him trying to help his love ones and even to his design (being very short king) was a very nice take on making him.

Late on tribute art, but Yu-Gi-Oh! was a huge inspiration for me when I was a young artist. To say that Kazuki Takahashi was an influence is an understatement. RIP a legend.

I sincerely hope a release of the bunko edition of Yu-Gi-Oh is in the future with me at the translation helm. It'd be my life's work.

originally, i wasn't going to make anything bc i've been in a mood over my art but wound up doing it anyways to cope, i guess, over kazuki's passing. but mostly i think i made this as another way to express my gratitude towards all of the folks i've met from this series.
