They’re not that big in the regular scenes! The size in the anime reference design is not that different from the manga.

I posted before about not liking the anime adaption of Kaede Hozuki, I have since watching it, come to accept and love her design. When it comes down to it, I just consider the two versions as the same. Just different artistic timeline representations of them.
