I stumbled upon this today. I thought it was so funny, because it's so explicitly against the spirit of the series and Shinji's character. But it seems like it's what some of people not liking "emo Shinji" would have wanted. Well, at the end of the day it's just a funny parody.

I felt Gainax not having much of a budget for the final episodes of Evangelion worked in it's favor, in a way. I feel like the TV ending takes advantage of it's minimal budget and uses it in an artistic and psychological manner.
I cannot wait for this new anime to come out!
