When they do go into having more traditionally feminine designs they aren't afraid to mix it up a bit. When it comes to more non-conventional magical girl designs (skirts/shorts/gloves) it still maintains the character's overall appearance/femininity but in a way that looks good!

I just realized that Hikaru is the first LEAD Precure since Tsubomi to have had a friendless Background.
The only difference is that while Tsubomi having no friends was due to her shyness, Hikaru simply was more interested in astronomy and ufology and was certainly not shy
