My first childhood inspiration has passed away. I wouldn’t be an artist if it weren’t for Tokyo Mew Mew. My fondest childhood memory was waking up before dawn to watch it every Saturday. It opened the door to a whole new world for me.

honestly i'm not surprised this is a take going around but i find it really silly that people are complaining about how the tokyo mew mew anime reboot "ruined" the old art style when it's just emulating mia ikumi's current style and designs from the 2020 manga short...

Ichigo is a literal icon. I literally hated the color pink all of my childhood but then this show came along. 4kids had this promotional McDonald’s CD with openings from 4 cartoons and anime and I used to play the opening for this show on repeat on a gift CD player
@iMOMOL0V3 They changed the color palette bc the original artist changed it for the sequel manga. The new anime is sticking to Mia Ikumi's redesigns.
@Cherins9 @moe_bara_bitch Ive seen this whole discourse with Mew Mew New and tbh after the Tokyo Mew Mew 2020 ReTurn manga came out, it just looks closer to how Mia Ikumi's art style has progressed. 🤷♂️
