Tonight's color-contrast pairing is Naoto/Rise (Naorise) from Persona! 💙/💗

They are paired off often in official art, similarly to Chie and Yukiko. Their interactions play off of their contrasts, Naoto being more masculine and Rise more feminine.

This is how the series is suppose to look too. It's suppose to look eerie and strange. The series has it's roots in lovecraft horror and Twin Peaks, not generic anime and funky music.
PS2 era Soejima also nailed the feeling (some of them even based on P1/2 art)
