One of the reasons why Pretty Cure was conceived as an action show for girls was because the director, Daisuke Nishio, was more used to working on shows like Dragon Ball.

and I came out with magical girls catching and throwing hands at each other. Teaching young girls how to be a strong independent woman since 2004
