Was watching one of my favorite Mickey Mouse cartoons, "Lonesome Ghosts", and one thing that really impresses me is how the animators were able to make the ghosts see-through. Not sure if it's some special kind of ink or a kind of lighting technique, but it's impressive for 1937.
