@Ekie0 @TchallaLives66 @boss_htown Bugged me too. He's indirectly shitting on all back male actors. Like we can never get a better performance? That's insane. Especially when you consider the African talent that hasn't been considered and the 1st gen Africans in the MCU that would have crushed this role.
Africans didn't give up their land to the colonialists without a fight.

Most were taught that JUST Africans were slaves & that whites werent. From the 16th - 19th centuries, within the Mediterranean, at least 1.25 million Europeans were enslaved by Barbary pirates of North Africa. This is known as the Barbary slave trade.
Compared to the infamous trans-Atlantic slave trade, Arabs traded more blacks as slaves than Europeans.
Between 8-17 million Africans were bought by Arab slave traders and reportedly an even greater number died en route.
The Arab slave trade also lasted longer.

@STS_News The first thing that came to mind as I read that headline.
(The fact that Musk and Glomgold are both South Africans is purely a coincidence...)

Black-eyed peas are a variety of the cowpea and are part of the family of beans & peas. Not native to the New World, black-eyed peas were brought to the West Indies by enslaved West Africans, by earliest records in 1674. #AfricanHistoryClass #BlackTwitter
