these are examples of textures/patterns that don't clash well. to some, the outfit might look busy or have unneeded elements.
the main thing with these outfits are that they have too much texture/patterns or said pattern/texture only appears once, giving it a disjointed feeling.
in contrast, these costumes go against the rules of color schemes and have little color similarity. this can lead to people finding the outfit jarring + asynchronous.
in haruka/uzuki's outfits, the bright blues seem to heavily clash the reds, making the outfit seem disjointed.

Wanted to tweak Helena's looks for a bit now; the direction her looks evolved into turned out to be a dead end as her features were too angular, disjointed and very far from the snake appearance.
Can't say I'm completely confident in this new look, but it definitely feels nicer.

Ok, so those disjointed pieces I mentioned from SF2 08-31... they TOTALLY slot together to form another variant of the Starfox mothership. This design seemed to have more of a space truck feel. The logo panels are doors which have proper offsets to swivel open like a hinge!

It just didn't sit right with me the more I looked at it, so here's a more fawn-like Riku version of the original that I honestly like a lot more!! It looks more natural/blends in with the actual fawn aesthetic without looking as disjointed/unnatural.
