Experiment with various edges to create contrast and direct the composition. Pens or a fine brush with wet ink will create a crisp line. A more frayed/dry brush will create softer lines. This can be used to create depth of field effects or lessen the impact of lines. 8/?

Some interesting class dynamics at play in Sekiro, owing to the historical setting. Samurai were feudal Japan's ruling military class & their armour reflects this: pristine, ornate and terrifyingly colourful. In contrast ninjas were lower-class, their attire frayed, shabby, drab.

Done as a gift. Inside CVR of All Star Batman Vol 1. Did this on reg white paper and then ripped it out around the figure, nothing clean just frayed edges. Then used matt medium to paste it into the inside cover. then played with it some more getting textures and a mood to it.
