More from my favourite of yesterday's shielings, inc map (so many sites!) & an amazing painting @jmclarenstudio did while I was there. Can anyone help with the significance of its name, Airigh nan Linntean? (I only know Linntean from e.g. 'Na Linntean Meadhanach'/Middle Ages).

The Frayed Atlantic Edge pb is released this month (planning a very lovely event...). Never asked before, but it'd be really appreciated if anyone who liked it reviewed on a big site (esp goodreads, where current views aren't as, err, enthusiastic as elsewhere!). It really helps!

Children's book lovers: giving my fee from @UllapoolBookFes to Ullapool bookshop to give away 6-8 copies of each of 3 books. But I'm no expert. Maybe @HelenKellock 'Star in The Forest' for youngest. Any ideas for older children? Scottish authors/illustrators; nature/sea themes.

A dreich day for the kayak to Clear Island, surf strafing beaches. Excellent caves & dapper GN divers along the way.
