g2 has more mons that can be easily recognized as speciffic animals compared to chimeric designs, both games have both but i feel g2s chimeric designs can still be more easily recognized as the mix like with gligar

i have a bit of a bias but i think theres 2 main things
theres more round friendly looking pokemon introduced in g2 (g1 had its fair share like puff but it def had more of a 90s rad feel than 2000s rounded one)

Let's work out no 1. I suspect this is G1 Sideswipe, but with a Decepticon insignia on by mistake. I suspect G1 Sideswipe because G2 Sideswipe has a hole on the top of him that G1 doesn't. Plus his insignia is centered, unlike G1 Breakdown. G2 Breakdown came later
