I don't use a dedicated keyboard for gaming, but I do use a programmable gamepad called the Belkin Nostromo Speedpad n52. You can bind any key/function key to the speedpad, even its DPad and scrollwheel.

It's discontinued but you can get one used for like ~30$ nowadays.

A very frustrating thing in is what a lie the controller set up is. I kept going back to controls set up to assign my gamepad buttons. It would take, it would work. As soon as I get into the game, it resets anyway.
