I tend to mix photorealism and surrealism in my pieces. The angle and colors are the main things I focus on. To me, It helps transmitting the feelings and emotions we research while looking either at a photograph or an edit !✨

This is why I don't always look to the past with rose tinted glasses. In many ways things are way better now on average! There's a booming indie games market and gamers today are open to all kinds of graphics styles. It's not just "photorealism or bust"!

My preference for stylization over photorealism can be summed up with this. I way prefer the work of Frank Frazetta to Boris Vallejo. Vallejo is very skilled, but his paintings often feel like models posing. Frazetta KEEPS YOU IN THE MOMENT. They're snapshots from another world!

I forgot to post this last month. Drawn for for their birthday. I rarely draw realistic portraits for others beyond close family members, so this was really fun to do.
