Character redesign practice, done so I could observe my own process. I am posting it as practice posting stuff because I get nervous doing that.

I remembered post-hoc that feathers are sometimes western shorthand for "tribal", but not in this case. His outfit is just bird-like.

Lacrimona - Water/Psychic
Long Reach / Clear Body

Its bird-like wings only serve to slowly slide it along the ground, so it stretches its long neck to help it reach and collect water from puddles for energy. Excess water drips from its eyes.

Artober, 2 - Yokai (Tengu)

For "Yokai" I have drawn Shiftry, a Pokémon who takes inspiration from the legendary tengu — a bird-like creature with a long nose and magical fans capable of stirring powerful winds.

The Tokobots went through the most significant changes of all the characters. The final design is definitely my favourite, but the bird-like robots at the bottom are very cute too!

The Black Acolyte is one of the Lifemother’s emissaries (the other being the White Acolyte). He’s a massive, bird-like Spirit that can scatter into smaller birds. He can control the elements and is the head of the Dead Court. He’s wise and kind, but no-nonsense and quick to act.

MYSTIC MONDAY

Polytheriathropy Follow-On: SNOWGUARD
Inuit native girl freed the "soul of the north," gained Snowbird-like powers, and joined the Champions. (Who better for than someone who's already a Champion?)

Should she be on the Wishlist Poll?

Our friendly shaman scholar Lorkan, good friend of Joseph the stache. I tried to design a more standout robe with bird-liked shape and less intense details than I usually get stuck with. He kinda looks like an owl grandpa.

attack for mavioo30 featuring their character, Owl. No twitter link, but here is their insta: https://t.co/CE51lVXeQP
I loved the owl poncho so I put him in a fun dynamic pose that showed off the bird-like aspects of his outfit. He is still sad, but that's fine.

Massive bird-like monsters with a huge wingspan, decorated with feathers as sharp as stalactites. Its signature "CAW!!" will rattle your poor eardrums!

I'm not like super realistic like a lot of the artists in this thread, but I do a webcomic with several giant phoenixes and a race of bird-like people in it, at least one of the phoenixes (Te-Mi-Farinu) is a major character! :) You can read it at https://t.co/8i49Tlmiko :D

Wakwak(Philippine).
The Wakwak is a vampiric, bird-like creature in Philippine mythology. It is said to snatch humans at night as prey.

I would ride an Earathskin, a giant bird-like dragon creature I created for my fantasy book series: FATE OF FIRE. 🔥
This painting was lovingly crafted by , and I cannot give enough praise for her artistry. 💕
