Steve Ditko - splashin' with Dr. Strange in the Silver Age

And Blue Beetle by Paris Cullen. Kind of ironic since this version of Blue Beetle is a Steve Ditko creation (Blue Beetle and Spidey are probably my two favorite superheroes)

Also Jesus Christ the Steve Ditko writing contributions are so obvious. Feels like if he had control over the series he'd kill Flash after high school.

I will point out I bought two or three issues of Swamp Thing before my parents got hep that was probably not good for a very small child - perhaps not the best movie tie-in? 😂

still - look at the credits on that World’s Finest! I had a good eye! plus the Ditko, Giffen ... https://t.co/dZMDBGauGV

"'Zeb and Ed are trying to do the impossible—top Lee & Ditko’s AMAZING SPIDER-MAN And that’s not the only thing that has--including some shocks that are going to make you say WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?!?!' Editor Nick Lowe promised."

What does this even mean? Bullshit.

Intentional or unintentional Lee/Ditko reference I wonder 🤔

Actually, his MO hasn't changed here. I guess he was early enough Ditko hadn't run out of ideas. He wants to make all the reptiles smarter and stronger and have them eliminate all humans.

Oh, also, it was still the 60's even if we're free from Ditko.

Ned Leeds is another character I, as someone who only tangentially knew things about the comics, thought of as Peter's friend. Ditko had him *hating* Peter, quarreling over who would get to be with Betty. Under Romita...

Mary Jane Watson is name dropped way sooner than I thought she would be. She even appears in-person at one point while Ditko is still on it. So Ditko drew MJ exactly once. And he didn't draw her face.
