Hippopotamus
The hippopotamus is a large, mostly herbivorous mammal in sub-Saharan Africa. Their dense bodies make it impossible for them to swim, even though they spend most of their time in the water.
Falcarius measured 12 to 13 feet in length with an estimated weight of 220 lbs. In terms of anatomy, Falcarius had a small head with leaf-shaped teeth indicative of its herbivorous behavior, along with a long neck, and a complete forelimb. Art by Dibrangosaurus
Designing this guy was difficult. Trying to find that balance between dragon and dinosaur while also trying to make a “herbivorous” dinosaur look antagonistic. At one point I started referencing actual gargoyles and found a face I liked, and the rest came naturally.
Today we'll look at one of my favorites, the Parasaurolophus! A herbivorous euornithopod from the Late Cretaceous, first found in Canada all the way back in 1922!

Today’s #DailyDragon is small, shy and herbivorous. Despite this it is also one of the most deadly. The vivid markings on its wings are a warning to any would-be predator that this species is highly poisonous. Glands on the tips and undersides of the wings excrete a lethal toxin.
Super fun creature commission, an herbivorous animal based off of a dog (specifically, a schnauzer) I went for a generalist, domesticated herbivore that reads as a dog... at a glance.
Lotosaurus, another oddity of the Triassic. A toothless, beaked, herbivorous and sail-backed Poposauroid pseudosuchian (the croc-line archosaurs) that lived during the Middle Triassic of China. There will be text over the upper side of the image #paleoart #sciart #pseudosuchians

A trio of Dracomatters that are a part of 0's forces and because Charley and Alvaro have running gags regarding their arms, I like to call these 3 the Arm Trio. Unlike most other Dracomatters in the series, Alvaro is omnivorous and Norvyn is herbivorous.
February 3, 1790, birthday of British geologist Gideon Algernon Mantell who was puzzled by strange fossil bones he found https://t.co/KXxcqDT5pG Famous for the scientific description of the first herbivorous dinosaur - Iguanodon - a genus of this group was named after him
It was 156 million years ago, in present-day Xinjiang, China.
The baby Yinlong looked at the world in awe, not knowing that it was the first member of a new family of dinosaurs, the Ceratopsidae. The Yinlong species would bring the herbivorous dinosaurs unprecedented strength.
#DrawDinovember Day 27 #Centrosaurus. Herbivorous ceratopsian dinosaurs from the cretaceous period. Obviously closely related to triceratops and pachyrhinosaurus. Lived in what is now Canada. #art #dailyart #digitalart #Dinovember
