Maui’s dolphins are a sub-species of Hector’s dolphins

In 2016, it was estimated that there were 63 adults. They're expected to become extinct. Gillnets and trawling are major threats to them.

Barracuda are large fish that live in tropical waters. They are aggressive hunters, with sharp teeth and able to swim 25 mph - and because of their size they have few predators other than sharks and whales.
