I say this again, the fact Monolithsoft ever since XC2 heavily featured stuff with the XC2 cast or Pyra/Mythra left a huge impact on the series.

So it's not out of the realm of believability that XC3 is a XC2 sequel based on the rumors we know, but who knows.
