Fun Fr-onday, a collab with familiar.foes on Instagram! SCP-4975 — a personal favorite SCP since I love creepy old folk monsters; check out its entry on the SCP website to learn more.

Hey, the bard’s looking a little sus. Fun Fr-unday, with a trend that I’m joining fashionably late. This was pretty interesting to try and put into a fantasy setting. Who knows, maybe there’s an adventure to have regarding what they are.

The Daitengu: the more popular interpretation of the tengu, most well known for their distinctive red face and long nose. In folk tales, these yokai have been both mentors and monsters, making them a versatile option for an NPC in your campaign.

The Monitor, an entity sent to crush the ripples of chaos and enforce the ordained flow of fate. Commissioned for a statblock set coming soon. 👀#dnd5e

Prince Aestval of Orchidthorne. An Eladrin noble of the Summer Court and the first boss my players took down. I got to use the Orchid Count statblock from 's Strongholds and Followers, which I highly recommend.

Fun Friday: Good ol’ Yakkity Yakra. The first boss of Chrono Trigger and the point in which I realized how important positioning is. Apparently this thing has a descendant, so...I assume there’s a whole species of Yakra to throw at your players.

I'm working on a fully-illustrated campaign setting guide (with maps, statblocks, and more) for my homebrew 5e world, where I've worked to make a world that doesn't rely on many of the tropes that can make dnd toxic!

One of my players wanted to be an axolotl, so we used a bullywug statblock to home brew her. She's a cleric of her own tiny God (she believes the water from her tank before she was Awakened is Divine). Her name is Lottie and we would all die for her.

The Cindered Dancer, inspired by Esmerelda. Specifically, the flaming visage of her that appears in the classic Hellfire song from the Disney movie. Thus, the dancers appropriately operate by charming their targets into walking towards a fiery end.

The Bell Servant, inspired by Quasimodo. Though a strong support their for allies, the servants have just as much potential to hurt them, and a lack of cohesion may keep enemies from making full use of the servant’s abilities.

The Chinese myth of the Jīngwèi, the girl who drowned, was reincarnated into a bird, and vowed to fill the ocean with sticks and stones. They could be both an interesting ally or foe in an aquatic encounter.
