Trilobites are a completely extinct group of arthropods, which don't resemble any of the animals. #CustomCursor #Cursor #MaterialsCursors #3D #Brown

A fossilised Trilobite k/as Calymene blumenbachii, was often found & sold by 18th century quarrymen in Dudley, W Midlands. Nicknamed the Dudley Bug or Locust, the fossil came to symbolise the town & featured on the Borough Council's Coat of Arms.

@DEEPHELLDOTCOM Sure! I have a trilobite fossil I took a picture of and saved as a 256 color and a 16 color file, then did some hue shifts and copy and pastes and got some cool results.
@akkitsune89 Lapin. This his demonic form. I inspired by trilobite and other weird animals. His human form half starved French pre-Canadian settler 20 year old male. He's called Lapin because he was created using a rabbit.
Han solo, a trilobite
Named after Han Solo from Star Wars, for a dare. Officially, it's named after the Han Chinese people (for its Chinese locality) and for being the last of the Diplagnostidae - https://t.co/zl7Spwxq6J

Koneprusia
A rare and spiky trilobite, it probably grew its spikes to deter predators from attacking it
ALT: Cleaning trilobites is a specially complex job, as they have so many frail spikes and details, some times spikes have to be removed and reattached during the process
Gigapolosatik the pseudotrilobite, another version.
This subspecies lives mostly in slow flowing rivers.
Some fossils can become pyrite, a form of mineral mistaken with gold. This happens mostly to precrambrian fossils, like ammonites and trilobites, so I made this #regionalvariation of #omastar & #kabutops with pyrite shells, both are water/steel type

Confieso que si un animal antiguo me ha fascinado siempre son los trilobites 🎨

@Lord_Kristine @Microrapterr a trilobite is not one type of animal but a member of one of the most diverse groups of arthropods there has ever been
agnostus, opipeuterella, dicranurus, terataspis
Acidaspis
A common, relatively small at about 2 cm, quick and very spiky trilobite, its likely that trilobites grew spikes this long to deter predators
ALT: surprisingly there's remains of this genus found from 4 geologic periods, it survived from the cambrian to the devonian
I want to wish a Happy Birthday to @dragonmotherk, the amazing singer and artist behind the Planet Zebeth webcomic! While her character is a Kabutops with a Metroid stuck to their head, I chose to take a few creative liberties... Now she's a trilobite like alien from the future.
... plus Adopus and Botrioides impostor (second version for obvious reasons

On this #Wiwaxiawednesday I find myself spending the night in Moline Kansas. It's been a day of collecting Permian marine fossils in SE Kansas. Yes, looking for very rare trilobites ... lots of critters but no biters so far. As much #SocialDistancing as you could ever want.
Also for #NationalFossilDay, my second piece for @Hidden_Compass is this pair of cf. Paradoxides. Big thanks to @RudkinDave for his help and trilobitey knowledge
