Colour palettes can be influenced by the environment, yes! Each banton has a "bright" palette and an "ashen" palette, depending on temperature and surroundings. A banton that permanently stays in a cold or hot area would stay ashen or bright, respectively.

The game's artstyle is really vibrant compared to games like King of Fighters. It's really cartoony and most of the characters look as goofy as their surroundings. Marurun specifically makes bouncing noises when he lands and I love it.

For me, above all, 2019 was about exploring a “mainstream comic style” and somehow I realized that’s not the direction I want to follow anymore. I’m proud of what I’ve learned this year, but I hope in 2020 I will rely on my instincts more than on my surroundings.
