Anyone spot the Mangler in the multiplayer reveal?? Was prob my favorite new weapon from the campaign reveal last year and a blast to draw, but don’t recall seeing it in MP. Hope they didn’t take it out!!!

Dev Log 19.5 - Water Leaper
This Welsh folktale is said to be a pest to fishermen by snapping up their catch and dragging the unwary underwater. So an anglerfish lure and harpoon tail accoutrements fit rather well.

Wacky Fact:
What looks like would be the real head of the Anglerfish Mermaid is actually just a fake head that can emote, it is purt of the lure of the actual fish itself that it uses to trick prey into thinking they are harmless and friendly

Here’s something I bet you didn’t expect. An Angler fish! I want to try to do some really different stuff. Heck this anishinaabe man has seen and knows about a lot of animals my ancestors could only have dreamed of! Why not give them a shot too!!

The quintessential deep-sea fish, the humpback anglerfish, is well-adapted for life at 2000 m below the ocean's surface - its "lure" (called an esca) is filled with bioluminescent bacteria that reel in prey in the cold darkness of the bathypelagic zone

Hanon's new Design sheet! 🐚🌊

She's a Zora based on a couple subspecies of the deep sea dragon fish, with some tweaks based on the angler fish here and there. And some poetic license. ☺️

I'm so excited about her. 💙
