Frank Frazetta - Canaveral Illustration (Canaveral Press, 1965). Many consider the period of the Canaveral plates to be among the best work Frazetta ever did, and, after seeing work like this, one is hard-pressed to disagree.

Progress 3: Recently heard that Frank Frazetta only spent 1-2 days per illustration. The more you work (and rework) a piece, the more stale it feels. Like clay losing moisture, there's a point where you just have to stop and let a piece breathe.

Definitely, I agree on all counts. There are so many damn good artist out there. A few whose work I think just timeless. Frank Frazetta, Luis Royo, Borris Vallejo, Jullie Bell.

Let focus a bit on Julie Bell. She's absolutely amazing and I love her story. She's the total package
