“To Be Human” - I wanted something a little more introspective for Rise month, esp given how Lara’s psyche was to be deeply explored in this title. It took a back seat in the game, but I’m happy I chose this direction for this piece.

Sad codependent gay book. Two inseparable best friends are rattled when one of them starts seeing shit that isn't there. Obsession, passion, mental illness, loneliness, and more are explored in this intense/perfect book.

While I haven't explored it with commissions just yet, she's also the outlet for frustration and anger. Which honestly, doesn't hit me often, so it's understandable that I don't have much artwork at all, of any character being angry.

A healthy release of anger, via hammer.

Florence (NS, 2020)

one of my new favorite examples of games as art. wonderful visuals and music aside, the intricacies of a blossoming relationship are explored so elegantly and it’s entirely through gameplay that you experience it! this one really hits home for me, i love it

this (episode 30) is my favorite thing i've seen from the series so far, though i feel it still could have used more thoroughly explored funny character hijinks

Ah yes, because pseudo-transvestitism was never at all explored in MGE.
It's not as though Incubus (who I can't recall ever being female) are not forementioned in MGE
And it's not as though I would have a problem with a Female Hobbit Hero in LOTR if she were actually interesting.

There's mainly just one theme explored really heavily.

This is a fantasy satire, kind of like Shrek. The theme is fantasy. As a dream, and as an escape.

In the hands of Mary Shelley, Daphne Du Maurier, & Shirley Jackson, Gothic Horror often explored the bleak shadows of our very homes & the darkest corners of the human mind. It examined themes of madness, personal transformation, phantoms, & the occult.

It's a mistake to dismiss Salon Cubist Marie Laurencin (1883 – 1956) as "pretty" As a painter and frequenter of Gertrude Stein's salons, she explored female desire. Le Bal élégant, La Danse à la campagne, 1913
