I made SUMMONING to blend my skills in 3D with my love for those silky-but-turbulent brush strokes. And atleast in my eyes, I was successful in doing that!

Not sure when this will sell, but i'm sure it'll go to a person's wallet who understands it well!

Always studying other art. Joaquín Sorolla’s control of light even with loose and open brushstrokes is inspiring for minis.

We love the bright colors, bold strokes and energy of her work.

Speaking of brushwork -- WHEW! I think my biggest improvement was definitely in technique.
Directional strokes, working with opacity, layering and mixing colors, soft vs hard edges, the impact of the correct undercolor... I'm excited to implement these in some original artwork!

So here’s a question, what, if any, recent art, say over the past couple years or so, has affected you in a really profound way?

For me, the two biggest would definitely have to be Bo Burnham’s special ‘Inside’ and The Strokes’ single ‘At The Door’ and it’s music video

Many people underappreciate the quality of art Yummi has created. The brush strokes and color pallet is stellar!

Almost everything is painted with strokes. I'm so tired

I learned a lot from this one including how to let my lines carry the image, to play with hatching to add three-dimensionality, to let my brush strokes show through and not over-blend, and to structure the 3/4 view of a face better, which I always struggle with https://t.co/yn9fsgAK3k

Thanks for the artshare!
I love to draw. I've recently started to learn digital art and I enjoy it. But gods, how I love drawing with pencil strokes.

I absolutely hate it but it just takes a lot of practice of,,,,big, long and confident strokes…??? For example most of these folds I made using two strokes? It just takes a lot of practice and a lot of redrawing the same lines 😭

🧵Notes on my series ‘Songs from the Garden’ on

Many know I paint skulls. But skulls are only a field where I can exp with texture and paint, without having to much of a figurative “person/face” emotions to distract away from shape, texture and brushstrokes.
