here's my first attempt at converting the existing soldier design into the new top-down style i'm switching to! pretty happy with it, much easier to pose when i only have to worry about one angle.

For now I finished outlining the body parts for Droop's idle, tomorrow I'll suffer exporting each layer, importing them into flash, converting and tracing each bitmap into a vector then lastly fix outlines, color and shade using a mouse!

Quick Photoshop tip: If you want a more accurate conversion to greyscale (rather than just desaturating), try converting to 'Lab Color' and then copying the Lightness channel. Perceived values should be way better!
