Per my last reply, here's my phylogenetic tree of invertebrate pokemon. Here's hoping gen 9 gives us the annelid I've been waiting for

Want to know where your teeth come from? Sharks can't tell you; they're doing their own weird thing. Analysis in a phylogenetic context shows that their conveyor belt teeth are pretty specialized. 🎨 by https://t.co/L0RCm5Wo9P

THEORY: Quid's Adepti, Allogenes, and Harnessing Honkai theory covers erosion as the destructive force within elemental energy, adepti as modified humans, and Visions as attempt at stabilization.

Note how Hu Tao is apathetic towards her Vision and hates fighting. Her rites don't need them, anyway.

...And how Celestia is shaped like a Panopticon, with Allogenes given Visions in moments when they display 'true strength of will'. Like Visions question enlightenment.

Other fish visible in this drawing are a gar (Obaichthys africanus) and a polypterid. Of the polypterid all we have are two jaw fragments, and one of those isn't even from the Kem Kem. Phylogenetic bracketing is a paleontologist's best friend.

Although my main focus is on birds and bird-like dinosaurs, I also have a soft spot for rodents, of all things. 🐭🐹 Here's a rodent phylogenetic tree I drew to help myself (and others) understand rodent diversity: https://t.co/Q1OxoVBIqd

Phylogeny is one of my favorite subjects. Well of course, I study it. But it also connects you to every species that has ever lived on Earth! I drew this vertebrate phylogeny in 2015 as an undergrad. It needs many updates... https://t.co/JW7e8Z1RRb

Hey. I’ve started working on a doujin series, titled “Werewolf X ????”, which will be about Brayden in a love hotel with different species. I also will be publishing this series under the “halogen room” circle.

A species complex is a group of similar species living in overlapping ranges. It's hard to distinguish them as individual species because of unclear phylogeny and interactions.

The Dendropsophus leucophyllatus species complex contains around 6–10 species of beautiful frogs.
