I will say my art has drastically improved and also changed a lots.
I am very surprised tbh I didnt think I improved so much.
I often get stuck into the loop of thinking my art isnt improving but I guess I am wrong.
Sometimes it feels like I'm not improving my art at all but comparing to a 2020 piece made me feel better ;w;
Do any of ya'll have thoughts like this too?
I still have a soft spot for my older work but it's just interesting to compare rendering, linework, etc!
Honestly!! Comparing my most recent Perrin art to the Mirajane one from last year? Drastic improvement, especially in the posing/confidence I had while drawing.
I love how this first one turned out. I actually used AI image to image on my original sketch, and referenced it to make it look imo much better than I could have improved it on my own.
I remember being incredibly proud of this first one when I made it. I still think it's one of my best, although I see a lot of things I would do differently now to improve it.

I found this old pixel piece from Mar 2016, the chibi style is superior to the 2017 charm WIP-
Why?
Because I opted to experiment with new shapes to create a chunkier/rounder and more simplified chibi-
The exp clearly didn't work, improvement ain't linear
