I was doing some studies of classic Capcom art. I've always loved and admired it, but I really want to UNDERSTAND it. A lot of it still goes over my head. Studying Nicholas-Bernard Lépicié has given me a better understanding of Capcom's brilliant anatomical stylizations.

@KemGem_ I know a big hoodie isn't the best for anatomical study, but I hope this is still helpful. Also, IDK if this is the final design for this sona, so feel free to have fun and make any changes you want! I'm sure I'll love anything you do with this!
I also appreciated a lot how Leaf has rewritten the bishounen aesthetic by giving importance to those anatomical constructs belonging above all to his illustrations rather than to the standards of anime designs, and this gives a very genuine intimistic sensibility to the whole MV
There are lots of anatomical mistakes but otherwise I’m very happy with how this came out! The light panel was a really big help because the paper itself isn’t as damaged.☺️ I will definitely try to use cold press more often!

#STEMartists BS in Biology, and a DVM to boot! Always utilizing my studies to try to make fantasy as believable as possible.
Trying to teach myself to relax and not turn every drawing into an anatomical study
#9/15: Morrigan - Oops, I missed a day >.<; You can thank @tas_mamochu for suggesting her! I prefer the eloquent 'bun in the oven' representation than the overused 'egg & sperm' anatomical xray shot for MY insemination needs...

The Aknosom introduced in @MonsterHunter Rise has a crown across its head that opens and closes depending on behaviour and the possible inspiration for this unique anatomical mechanism is the tiny little birds known as Royal Flycatchers. I mean just look at em! (:
@HaxorusQueen Here's mine lol
not 100% anatomically correct but I tried my best
@GumiHagane acho que não precisa ser anatomicamente correto, eu mesmo que vivo fazendo arte realística acabei brincando com umas proporções e tal para esse desenho do César
@soysaucethot i try to generalize the form of the hand very loosely at first and making the form with my real hand and try to reference that as much as possible
a loose sketch can be refined down to your own style and using your own body parts can help with anatomical mistakes
#pixelart - Bear enemy for the game. He isn't very anatomically correct, and he doesn't have shoulders when he's walking north because I can't think in 3D when I'm drawing

Here's my contribution to #TakutanArtPH! Wag niyo akong isumbong sa mga professor ko, alam ko di siya anatomically correct plstenks HAHAHAH

@pennyb @lukemcgee One possible solution. Obviously, the boxing glove is there for illustrative purposes only. I couldn't find a Gif with anything more anatomically feasible.
Outpost.

There's some anatomical problems here, but you get the point~ I think of the watch tower from Princess Mononoke, but that didn't sound appealing to draw, so here's everyone's favorite.
