(2/9) Greta Gerwig! My fav & most meaningful film I’ve seen in 2020 is Little Women. Her masterful retelling made it even more relevant. Greta’s brilliant & equal in skill/talent to her male peers. can’t wait to see girls step into directing roles bc of women directors like her✨

These are shots I personally worked on. So honored I got to be even a small part of this. I can`t compliment the animators and directors over at Powerhouse enough.

I think she's one of CQL's associate directors. This was posted days ago during the peak, and I am grateful to see that the post is still up 👍

Checked out Okja on Netflix for obvious reasons.

Bong Joon-ho is shooting his way up as one of my favorite directors. Recommending all of his filmography that I've seen thus far here with The Host (2006), Snowpiercer (2013), Okja (2017), and Parasite (2019).

Born on Feb.29, the most handsome of film directors: He may not be as celebrated as Hitchcock or Ford yet he made some unforgettable movies: Wings, Public Enemy, Safe In Hell, Roxie Hart, The OxBow Incident, Beau Geste and the screwball masterpiece Nothing Sacred

I wanted to give some appreciation for Chris Sanders. One of my favorite directors working in animation, he's started off as a storyboard artist at Disney working on films like Beauty and the Beast before directing Lilo and Stitch, How to Train Your Dragon and The Croods.

Happiest of heavenly birthdays to one of my favourite directors

TERENCE FISHER

His contribution to Hammer and the larger horror community is incalculable. He showed that horror could be colourful & beautifully lit, but still sinister & sexy. Four of my faves:

I just watched the directors cut of ‘MidSommar’. I really enjoyed it but it was slightly disturbing to say the least, so now I’m going to relax tonight with ‘The Curse of La Llorona’ 👻

Happy spooky Saturday everyone 😁👍💀

I don't think CBM fans are saying it's the endgame at all, They just fantasizing talented directors adding something special to the franchises they love. Nothing wrong with that and it hurts no one at all.

Joon-Ho already made a comic book film anyway, i.e. Snowpiercer.

I'm pretty into exploring the wide world of women filmmakers. I'm doing a long-term portrait and zine project about women directors and also co-host a local screening series and eventual podcast devoted to the subject ()
