Although Lagiacrus suffered from problems in development, many hunters still want to see it return in World's engine. Rathalos's first rival would be excellent for Iceborne since there aren't many aquatic monsters and thunder element monsters in the game.

Phase 2 took everything that made the Gorillaz concept interesting in Phase 1 and turned it from a quirky gimmick into something hugely meaningful, each character had equal screentime and development, and basically perfected the formula with ROTO. Nothing's come close since.
