Himeno's master has pointed out a sad point, "normal sane people" are the easiest prey for a devil, whilst unpredictable weirdos like Denji are tougher to make fearful.

Himeno is great but terrifying, Power immediately ties to cross the "line" set by the HQ, and Himeno makes it perfectly clear that Power can be destroyed if she misbehaves
So Aki didn't develop his jaded ideals from nowhere, Himeno saying this definitely contributed to Aki's feelings that very few people are cut out for Devil Hunting
