Tbh I don't mind as much how this turned out as I did last night.

I originally wanted a more scratchy look but messing with the colours, gradients and noise in photoshop made it look a bit better.

Not massively fond of the eye shape but eh for a quick sketch its fine.

Simply love this, specially your hair and armor. If I may suggest, you could give that gem a bit more of a crystal aspect only using a few white shapes/gradients with Overlay Effect, and one blurred purple circle with Add effect. Also, you should probably adjust the gem position

My flip flopping between experimenting with two different rendering methods is hard, but I persist.

I think I prefer more painterly rendering but I have major weaknesses with using different layer modes to achieve gradients and stuff so this is valuable practice.
