it's exactly the gradients with patterns and shit

If you see these hue shifts/gradients throughout, I use an OVERLAY layer to do that! Adds easy interest without hiding the underpainting

Mostly this from 2023-2022. Thicker sketchy lineart, simpler shading, mostly relying on gradients, less attention to detail, but remember it being faster

Lighting in cell shading is simplified, no smooth gradients, shadows are mostly just hard edged areas on an object.

Full rendering is moreso where it actually tries to emulate more realistic lighting.

is probably just the final gradients I use in the render, but I use them since a while. Tone change a lot with the background though. The white background make the tone stand out more too. Same final gradients as this ones but I use them always😁

Ev!l art style chalIenge!
I drew my version of viIlain Mic without the traits of my art style that yall named, so

- no colored/blurred lines
- little to no blur/gradients
- minimal motion/bounce
- next to no soft shading
- no shine/gloss
- no vibrant/rich colors

Texture and Noise:

Sometimes, you can just spice your designs with some noise and texture in your gradients to create a form of visual interest and depth.

However, it highly depends on what the theme of the design is.

wip day
villain Mic in the evil artstyle challenge
so far im having a blast but ik that cell shading the whole thing without falling into gradients and stuff is gonna be a nightmare lol

I think I'll stick to my tried-and-true method of "strategically placing cel shadings and hard lightings until it works, and adding gradients maybe".

Here we see Lynn offering a glass of blood. Not for you, of course, but for her (unfortunately) vampire daughter. https://t.co/88pLf7QXGa

WIP
Finished the costume details and now gonna work on gradients! After that will be texturing and light and shadows. I might work on a version with Chromatic Aberration since the idea is for it to be like a photo. I wonder what would be a good light direction...

I need to learn how to do non-pixelates gradients in Aseprite, absolute fire

So before I go and get crazy with the colors I was just messing around with different color gradients and after making the eye glow found this particular option somewhat cool! Might try out different gradients for fun, thoughts?

Just an experiment with colors, modes and gradients. I used kokomi because of her color palette I love it.

Do Palutena’s hair and Metroids count?😂

I’m bad at committing to only single color gradients

As apart of a gamepass, you will be able to apply gradients/multicolors to your entire character in Hyperabyss's new game

Hey, Jay 🕊️

Interesting question. Not really for my case, I would say that the gradients and the light are this signature.

I underestimate how useful gradients are for shading metal stuff
