started this as an experiment where i would sketch and then go straight to coloring and shading. no lineart.
gotta say that i'm liking how it's turning out, but the refining and cleaning takes a long time, so i'm just winging it at this point, lol

Doing a thing. Cleanup lead on the Lackadaisy film and currently working on figuring out what the final cleanup for the film will look like. Going for that old school rough xerox look for the lines. Could use more refining, but I'm happy with this start. Animation by Nick.

Would you believe me if I said all of this was ink?

I found some Japanese Kuretake ink made with this water-soluble dye, a few years back, and discovered it bled like velvet when water was applied. I've been refining the technique ever since... it's a form of inkwash.
