@salmontoro I start with the base. Ground squares are rhombuses. Ground circles are ellipses. I then extrude that up, to make a column. Check out that barrel and rocks and dragon
Vertical circles are a bit harder, but there's a trick:

Ah well, these creatures mostly cover the equatorial parts of the moon and mostly the upper parts of the water column, I did very little on the creatures from the more polar regions, like this creature.
Many years ago, before I could do any pixel of my own, I would make mockups for fake Sonic levels reusing graphics from the series along with other various Genesis games. Like the background from Quackshot's Maharaja stage, and ruins from Columns and Ghouls 'n Ghosts. #sonic29th
