As for Tomorrow, I wrote and illustrated the book when I was in Syria during the first year of the crisis. This story was my way of processing the war, and I especially wanted to show what a war zone was like using a child’s perspective.

A Tik Toker made a version of It's Quiet Uptown from Hamilton from Philips sister's perspective. And I started crying because it reminded me of my cousin and sharing the musical with him when I was obsessed with it. He indulged me and enjoyed it, at least a little. So I drew her.

My OC's anatomy is very toony-ish. Especially the perspective. The left side of the hair would always point to the left no matter what direction he's facing (except when he turns his back on ya).
