A new paper by Ibrahim et al. just dropped describing a Spinosaurus tail which confirms that it had a very aquatic lifestyle! And it's the tail of the 2014 specimen!!!

Spinosaurus is the largest predator to have ever existed, It was around 14-23 feet tall, and was around 50 feet long. It did not hunt on land, but hunted fish in rivers and streams. It was the first semi-aquatic dinosaur ever known.

Wildly off, as it turns out! Spinosaurus was thought to be a carnosaur like allosaurus and kin, when it was actually a derived enough megalosauroid to be considered a crown member of its own clade; the spinosauridae. Pictured is an older reconstruction next to one from 2017.
