Fr though Sonic Origins clearly has so much love poured into it. From all the new animated cutscenes (which definitely weren’t cheap!) to the bonus content and new modes, to even the little stuff like the awesome 3D renditions of each game’s setting

Even just this .5 patch later, they animated Sylvanas' cutscene model *so much* better. No more constant weird lip puffing, and she isn't constantly standing like she wet her pants in the pool.

Ooh, Tyrande got a bunch of new animations for that Queen's Gift cutscene with the seed from the Winter Queen.

I'm not nearly as much of a fan with her braids in front, but it's a clear indicator of new animations at least haha

I think Wing Commander was vaguely like this, and Air Force Delta Strike had goofy VN-style cutscenes between missions. I haven't played either of those games, but I've convinced myself that's what they were like.
