I’ve been getting a lot of Ulti version commissions and its extra challenging. For this one, since I already did Echo Echo, I wanted to continue the narrative and depicted one of them going solo, much like some K-Pop idols do in their careers.
Great narratives in video games to me are not just great narratives, they are ones that manage to elevate themselves even more by the virtue of them being told in video games in ways no other forms of medias can replicate.
WIP post for the new year! Starting with the two groups that are central to STALKER 2's narrative
narrative choice, but I at least understand the story it was trying to tell so it's fine. Ultimately, I feel that the emotions win out in the end. The only thing that really matters at the end of the day is how I feel about it, after all.

Trying this GorgeousMushroom/Strangestone style of comic/pinup style. I like how it incorporates a short story narrative where just 1 picture wouldnt be enough.

@VincentBecherer @DerrickMalikJo It's REALLY something I struggle with being a concept artist for so long. I love ~AMV style vibe shots~ but that's not the point of a board. It's to tell a story with shots that connect narratively.
So my weakness is narrative so I study wtf a shot says narratively a lot.
@VincentBecherer @DerrickMalikJo I do original work and when I run into walls I do studies to help me figure out how to dismantle them and climb them better.
Also being married to a boarder whose been doing it for 10 yrs helps to talk too. He's always grilling me what is the narrative point of a shot.
