I think this would look nicer, thin outlines are a main

First I start drawing the tear outlines with a dark color

Then I lower the opacity of the layer until it looks good (usually around 15%)

Then I start adding strong highlights in a new layer

Finally I add some slight shadows with a multiply layer

all of their designs are near copy pastes of @Drawloverlala's excellent skyline designs with some differences

although I added red outlines around Beans eyes as a Wink to his Relation to Jet the Hawk

A small detail so far of the drawings I have made, the thick outlines definitely use to be a thing I tend to do a lot and didn’t feel confident of doing them much
But going back to it I really love how I polished this style, I hope this is my art style in some ways

Work in Progress of my OC, Crisis, as a stingray-mermaid. The sea-urchin pasties aren't turning out as well as I'd hoped so far. I mean, what do they look like to you? I may also need to clean up the colors that spilled past the outlines. After that, adding a second character?

Decided to draw something for @SnowyMus! I couldn't do the colored outlines this time due to a messed up setting found too late into the drawing, but I hope you enjoy it anyways!

Actually this illustration should have been my first dtiys on instagram but I was so unhappy with the outcome and now I’m posting it normally ... I‘m sorry guys 🥺 At least it was a good exercise for anatomy and outlines 🙈🦋

For now I finished outlining the body parts for Droop's idle, tomorrow I'll suffer exporting each layer, importing them into flash, converting and tracing each bitmap into a vector then lastly fix outlines, color and shade using a mouse!

Not really an enemy in the traditional sense, but they count. Again, not much to say about these two, other than BIS having slightly muted colors and his whiskers poke out of his cheeks, a rare instance where something sticks out against the bold, black outlines.
