ピーテル･ブリューゲルが1565年に制作した2カ月毎、計6点の「月暦画」連作の一点で2月と3月の気候と人々の営みを扱った『暗い日』（ウィーンKHM）。Der Düstere Tag という通称の起源はこれから調べないと。日本とネーデルラントの気候は随分違うが、今日の悪天候からおのずと想起されてしまう。
