赤い太明朝体タイトルから連想するのは、中平康監督『紅の翼』（1958年）。大塚康生さんは本作をよく『紅の翼』と言い間違えていました😅。もっとも同名邦題のウィリアム・Ａ・ウェルマン監督作品（1954年）をイメージしていたのかも知れませんが。
