It kinda feels like he changed from the classic design to the current/modern.

Both of the first designs have orange fur and his eyes stretched to the forehead. Classic cartoon shape.

The second designs became a desaturated yellow color. And his eyes became more square in shape.

Modern Sonic debuted in 1998 not 2010. Sonic Team backs this.

In addition to dozens of Invincible character designs, he did a series of over 100 Supergirl costumes for fun on his blog. So much variety and appeal.

Classic & Modern for me aren't separated entities. I've never seen them as the "younger self" or "other dimension self" just them, despite the obvious difference of design. I've always seen the modern design as an "upgrade" to the classic. Sonic is Sonic, be it Classic/Modern.

I've been wanting to share some of these for awhile. They're my retextures for some character/NPC Models in a what I assume to be a long forgotten LOTR game. I wanted to take a more traditional approach making it look more like a decent PS2 game or something a bit more modern.
