WIP working on tweaking Gaul's ref more, might just end up making it totally digital at this point. This is his more land-oriented form, its got a lot more horse-like anatomy with it, and he crops his ears himself

29 Mar & 2 April: Feast of Eustasius/Eustace (d 626/9). Follower of Irish St Columbanus, & successor as abbot of Burgundy, Gaul. Columbanus had been banished since he reproved morals of local king! Eustasius noted for his humility, continual prayer, fasting & expansion.

Albert Uderzo, artist of Asterix the Gaul, died today. Asterix was one of the comics that formed my taste for comedy adventure stories when I was very young. Rest well, Uderzo! You were one of the greatest.

I'm guessing most folks won't have heard of him, but the Asterix and cartoons were something I very enjoyed and loved as a child.
